Helping MIS?

"No man is an island", as the saying goes; and although we're a school and not an individual 'man', we too do not consider ourselves an island that is totally self sufficient. We need the support and encouragement of our parents, our friends and the community.

How can you help?

There are a number of suggestions which we'd like to suggest, but we're totally open to any other suggestions that you may have. Please get in contact with us and tell us how you think you can help.

Help in the classroom

We love having parents come into our classrooms to help out in any way that they feel they can. Maybe it's just to sit with the children and make encouraging sounds (particularly our youngest ones)

Fundraising

Although we charge for school fees, in reality these currently do not cover all our operating costs AND capital outlays such as equipment, or teaching resources and so on. So yes, we're looking for ways to raise additional capital to purchase these things. Wild, spontaneous and huge financial donations are always welcome! Barring that though, more modest activities that might raise additional capital are always an option. If you felt that you could organise something this would be fantastic. Such as:

  • Car boot sale
  • Car wash mornings
  • Walk/Spell/Clean/Play/Anything-athons
  • A fun fair
